“Opening up to the future – Paths for professional integration to foster strong communities”

The general objective of the initiative is to contribute to the promotion of decent work and economic growth, by supporting the process of autonomy and integration that allows migrants and new poor people in Italy to become progressively independent from primary care support and to integrate profitably in the social and economic web.

The specific objective is to encourage the access of refugees and new poors to the job market, through orientation, training and accompaniment paths, with particular attention to promoting active protagonism in the implementation of work and social integration paths.

We intervened with:

  • 50 migrants, asylum seekers, refugees and newly poor/unemployed, domiciled in the municipality and province of Milan, hosted by families/in apartments or within the public hosting system, who were supported in accessing the job market through training courses and accompaniment.

The implementation method focused its methodological innovation on the integrated and proximity approach, based on the valorisation of the partnership according to a model in which different entities integrate with each other, activating the work network to respond to the different support needs of social and work inclusion.
