INTERNATIONALIZATION:
A NECESSARY PROCESS
Improving the ability to attract international young people is one of the challenges that all Universities and Higher Education Schools must face in these years.
What role can San Martino play?
Our services
Orientation meetings
Incoming students
Understanding the rights and responsibilities related to your status as a non-EU student is essential.
We are, in fact, convinced that helping young international people to understand and delve into the Italian system (culture, bureaucracy, job market, etc.) is the best way to help them achieve their educational and career goals.
Cultural differences
The topic of cultural differences is particularly dear to us. Inspired by the studies and work of Erin Meyer, we lightly try to provide students with the tools and categories of thought useful for tackling the adventure in Italy.
Thematic focuses
Our thematic focuses are designed with partner universities to respond to specific needs.
A topic in which we are often involved is that of post-graduation regulatory scenarios, but specific phenomena such as, for example, the “Brexit” topic can give rise to targeted insights.
Advice
Doubts and questions on the issues of immigration law can arise both when faced with new situations and with known procedures, but which present particularities that have never been encountered.
Our task is precisely to support the University staff, providing advice on all immigration procedures (entry for scientific research, work, study, etc.) and support in the management of particular situations (e.g. late renewal of permit , entries from other EU countries, re-entry visa).
Thanks to our accreditation with the Police Headquarters and the Prefecture of Milan, we are able to report, if necessary, such particular cases to the authorities involved, then managing their resolution in agreement with them.
Online help-desk
This is a new way of accompanying your students. Through individual sessions that can be booked online, the children will be able to discuss all the problems related to their status as a non-EU citizen with the professionals of our team.
The positive experiences of recent years confirm the usefulness of this tool also for non-EU undergraduates interested in starting their careers in Italy.
San Martino, in fact, provides consultancy and acts as an intermediary between the new graduate and the company that intends to hire him.
Our online help desk is already active at:
Researchers, visiting professors and PhD students
San Martino also assists universities in the management of immigration practices for researchers, visiting professors and doctoral students, from the request for entry authorization (Nulla Osta) to the fingerprint appointment at the Questura.
We then guide the foreign professional through all the stages of integration in the Italian context. In particular, in all practices relating to:
In this case, too, we support researchers, professors and doctoral students who move to Italy with their families.
It is essential to understand the needs and requirements of the entire family unit in order to facilitate their integration into the Italian context.
